ABOUT US

To feed underprivileged children and their families; to provide health promotion, basic hygiene needs and education for the communities we serve.

Our Foundation is comprised of a group of concerned individuals with the desire to contribute to human development. Hunger and malnutrition are prevalent among a growing number of young children around the world. This phenomenon is commonly seen in Sierra Leone, West Africa. It is a well known fact that this condition has curtailed the ability of children to grow and function normally, thereby limiting their ability to learn.

Our goal is to help underpriviledged children and their families alleviate this issue by providing balanced meal options, personal hygiene items, and health promotion education in the communities we serve.

We are extending our efforts to the youth of PG County, MD with the following services:

  • College preparedness

  • Resume writing

  • Health promotion for teenagers

  •

Join our mission and become a part of this worthwhile venture.

Our Mission

Our Founders

Victor Johnson is a Sierra Leonean born United States Citizen.  Having been raised in Sierra Leone he has witnessed the struggles and challenges of children who were less fortunate. Victor began his journey serving his adopted country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps and served for over seven years. Now established in the United States, Mr. Johnson has followed through on his passion and belief - that anyone can make a difference in another's life if you are willing to give, and that you do not need to have in excess to give, for any help offered to someone in need makes a difference that person's life.

He started FSPF with small donations of his family's unwanted items to children and families in need in Freetown when on personal trips.  This one to two family supply of goods has grown into cargo shipment of up to two containers per year of donated items to children and families in communities in-need in Sierra Leone.

Mrs. Evelyn Johnson is a dedicated mother and member of her community and church. Her love for people and selfless ability to care for all who seek refuge at her doorstep earned her the nickname "mama jay", she is a mother to all in her community. Besides taking care of her community, she served as a Trustee and a board member at her local church and participated in Sunday school events as well as other community outreach efforts. Her experience from daily avocations has driven her to always aid those in need. Over the years she has supported organizations with the same aim and continues that support to FSPF.
